Mind

Hold to the idea, “I am not the mind, I see that I am thinking, I am watching my mind act”, and each day the identification of yourself with thought and feeling will grow less, until at last you can entirely separate yourself from the mind and actually know it to be apart from yourself.

Without going out of doors,
one can know the world;
without looking through the window,
one can realise the Way of Heaven.
The farther one goes,
the less one knows.
Therefore the sage knows without going out,
discriminates without seeing,
and accomplishes without action.

We have thoughts and use our intellect to project around us thought-forms and psychic expressions of all kinds. But, all of these are passing illusions and realities, projections of our ego needs, desires and wishes..............MacVegan

There is a still higher plane upon which the mind can work, It can go beyond consciousness, Just as unconscious work is beneath consciousness, so there is another work which is above consciousness, and which is not accompanied with the feeling of egoism. The feeling of egoism is only on the middle plane. By the effects, by the results of the work, we know that which is
below, and that which is above. When a man goes into deep sleep he enters a plane beneath consciousness, He works the body, perhaps in his sleep, without the accompanying feeling of ego; he is unconscious, and when he returns from his sleep he is the same man who went into it............MacVegan
