"Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true."...MacVegan

Belief is the only real variable one has some control over. One might as well try to live without breathing as to try to live without believing. To "know" is to simply to believe without doubt. Disblief or unbelief are simply types of belief. The more personal a belief, the more that belief determines one's optional behaivor. Personal beliefs may not be verbalized in public but they are hardly private as they determine which of the possible responses a person chooses and thereby influence subsequent experiences. This is not to say "If you can believe it, you can achieve it". Nothing could be further from the truth. A person might believe they can fly like superman and jump from
a tall building but not experience flight like superman. However, that belief was key to taking the action of jumping.

As a man thinketh in is heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

The key to leadership is taking the time and doing the hard work to determine what you really believe. Rudolph Giuliani
