Selfless Giving

Do you ask for anything from your children in return for what you have given them? It is your duty to work for them, and there the matter ends. In whatever you do for a particular person, a city, or a state, assume the same attitude toward it as you have toward your children; expect nothing in return. If you can invariably take the position of a giver, in which everything given by you is a free offering to the world without any thought of return, then will your work bring you no attachment. Attachment comes only where we expect a return.

president bush should read your blog. he will learn that giving cannot be forced and you cannot expect gratitude or force someone to accept your ideals and values. this is a good quote for bush to read, "I feel that no one can lead another to truth, because truth is infinite; it is a pathless land, and no one can tell you how to find it. No one can teach you to be an artist; another can only give you the brushes and canvas and show you the colours to use." can you guess who is the author of this quote? doug

The man who believes he can live without others is mistaken; and the man who thinks others can't live without him is more mistaken..........

Approach a goat from behind, a horse from the front and a stupid man fron either direction......
