Prayer of Saint Francis of Asisi

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace,
Where there is hatred, let me so love,
Where there is injury, pardon,
where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
where there is sadness, joy,

Oh Divine Master, grant,
that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love,
for it is in giving that we receive,
But it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Very inspirational prayer from Saint Francis. If we can even live up to one line from this prayer our world would be a different place.

jitendra, thank you for the peaceful and upliftings words, i know that this is your manifest for life.....and you are right, the world would be a totally diffent place to live if we followed one line of this prayer.....but wait; we do live our life and we are inspired by these words, just not year around, only after thanksgiving through the end of the year.......and then back to business; war, racism, hate and despair.....if we have to have those issues in our life, lets turn the tables and hate and kill and be racist for a month and then love each other for eleven months.........
