Funny Quotes, Thanksgiving Quotations

I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way. I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land.

i celebrated thanksgiving in a more contemporary setting; with family and friends sharing with each other what we have to be thankful for......i am thankful for living in a country, even with all of our faults and misguided leadership, that is safe, peaceful, plenty of food, opportunity and safety........we live in a country where the farmers are paid not to produce fod because of the abundance.....i ate baked yams and baked tomatoes, raw spinich and a tangerine with hot lemon water while my family devoured a dead turkey that was put in the oven, buttered down potatoes and various vegetables that were humiliated with more butter and olive oil.........i, of course, was the blunt of diet jokes but my arteries and colon is free of fat and cholestrol.......i ended the evening chatting with my best friend on google talk.......

thanksgiving is a day that we should contemplate on our fortunes and opportunities. instead of patting ourselves on the back and rewarding ourselves with the harvest of the land and clogging up our arteries and colons, we should fast for one day and give back to society, feed the hungry, heel the sick, lend our support to the misfortunate.....we should not give in to our temptations and indugence and take from our fat mouths the food we really do not need and give it to people that really need it......we should take the little money that we save over the year and provide shelter, job opportunities, health care to the millions of people that live day to day in a life threatening situation........instead of going out to walmart or neiman marcus and spending money on our family and friends that really do not need another cd or sweater and are going to take it back anyway, we should give to the needy that could really use a sweater to stay warm during the winter.......thanksgiving and christmas have lost their meaning. we should give not take.
